The syllabus for our Middle school curriculum aims to engage pupils, giving them the chance to discover which subjects they have a passion for before making their IGCSE choices at the end of Grade 8. For flexibility, pupils studying in MAGE hybrid at Middle school can enrol onto as many or as few of the subjects from the core list. Explore our subjects below.

As well as the core subjects, Middle school pupils can also take additional subjects for a extra fee per subject, per year.
How we teach
MAGE uses a hybrid learning platform and lesson library for delivery and 24/7 access to virtual simulations and subject materials. Classes are timetabled and lessons are taught live by internationally qualified teachers trained in hybrid teaching and learning. All live sessions with teachers are recorded and available for students to access and quality assurance purpose. Depending on the subject and age of student, subjects may include a “lead” lesson (seminar) and an “explore” lesson (tutorial of up to 20 students). Students apply the knowledge they have learned through “apply” or homework assignments and are assessed regularly through summative and formative assessments. Teachers are available 9AM to 5PM via google rooms to encourage student interaction and foster engagement and understanding with the topic being discussed.
Language option
Students can choose one Language to study from the subjects below as part of the Middle school Core learning path. Students can also select extra Languages for an additional fee, per Language, per year.
